MADE BY A PERSON

Meet Jhustin, the Maker Behind Desk Buddies

By Jhustin Marcos ·

Hi, I’m Jhustin. I’m a single dad, I work full time, and I make the 3D printed glasses holders you see at Desk Buddies. This shop grew out of my printing hobby and my interest in solving small, everyday problems.

From a printing hobby to a little shop

I sell my prints under the name PrintsByLjay. Desk Buddies is the home for my character glasses holders: useful little accessories that give everyday frames a place to rest and add some personality to a desk or shelf.

My day job is in customer success. Listening to people and understanding what is getting in their way is a big part of that work. I bring the same mindset to this shop: pay attention to the details, answer questions clearly, and learn from the people using the product.

Growing a small business alongside work and family is a learning process. I want this site to show you what the holders actually look like, how they are used, and what to check before you buy.

What I make

Flat back of the Pikachu holder with glasses arms folded behind it
A closer look at Pikachu’s flat back and the visible texture of the print.

The current collection includes Pikachu and Hello Kitty glasses holders, produced in PLA filament. The 3D printing process builds them in layers, and you can see that texture in the product photos. They are open stands for a desk, shelf, or nightstand; they are not protective travel cases.

Pikachu has a flat back without a tail. Hello Kitty is available with a red, pink, or purple bow. Both designs come in Adult and Child holder sizes. I include real product photos and approximate heights so you can make a more informed choice.

Compare sizes and frame fit before ordering. Different frame shapes rest differently, so a size label alone is not a promise of compatibility.

Customer feedback is part of the process

Feedback has included questions about how glasses sit on the supports and how their arms fold behind the holder. Those are useful details to understand before buying, which is why I have added a step-by-step placement guide and back-view product photos.

You can read selected, attributed reviews from Etsy on the home page or visit PrintsByLjay on Etsy. If you have a question the photos do not answer, get in touch.
